Costa Magica is the sister ship of Costa Fortuna, a new class of ship for Costa, constructed at the historic yards in Sestri Ponente where the Michelangelo, the legendary Rex and the Andrea Doria were built.
With a capacity of 2,720 passengers, Costa Magica contains a total of 1,359 cabins - 857 oceanview and 500 with large verandas. Aboard Costa Magica the theme is "fascinating places in Italy". The central pool deck will be shaped like an amphitheater and the aft pool will have a retractable magrodome roof.
